What you get
Everything in one place
Keep your student list, class groups, schedule, attendance, homework, billing and messages together.
AI tools when you want them
Add your own AI key in Settings to switch on Tutor Chat, Lesson Builder, Speaking Practice and Grading. Each result you save lands on the student's timeline.
Runs on your own computer
Chalkline runs on your Windows PC. Your records are saved in a folder on that PC and you can back them up with one click.
Progress you can show
See progress graphs in each student profile and download a PDF report.

When a trial or licence ends, Chalkline becomes read-only. You can still look at every record and back up all your data.

Questions
Is there an installer? Will Windows warn me?
There is no installer yet. You unzip the folder and run Chalkline.exe. The app is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show an 'unknown publisher' warning.
Do the AI tools work without a key?
No. The AI tools need your own AI key, added in Settings. Everything else works without one.
